CPA Uganda in partnership with the ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education organizes a Commonwealth Mini-Mock Summit (Youth CHOGM) 2007 held on 18th August 2007 in Kampala to coincide with the Prize Award ceremony for the CHOGM 2007 National Logo Competition.

The Summit that attracted several schools around Kampala brought together more than 200 participants who discussed topics ranging from “The Political Debate: Democracy, Peace Building, Leadership & Negotiations, Human Rights & Freedoms, Diplomacy and the Commonwealth” and “The Socio-Economic Debate: Respecting Difference and Promoting Understanding”- Culture, Religion and Education-The role of young people; was opened by the Hon. Minister of Education and Sports Hon. Namirembe  Geraldine Bitamazire who recommended that debating in  schools should be emphasized for the young people.
