The Commonwealth Association-Uganda as part of its awareness campaign about the Commonwealth Values in Uganda will be organizing a Commonwealth Dinner on 6th March 2009 in Kampala to fundraise for the proposed Water for Education Community Project (W4ECP) in aid of the children in Karamoja region. The Commonwealth Association would like to use this project as a vehicle in helping the children remain in school thereby complimenting the Governments efforts in achieving MDG 2 and the Prosperity for All Programme. Dinner cards will be from 19th January 2009. During the Dinner there will be the awarding of Merit Certificates to individuals and institutions for their contribution to the cause of humanity within the Commonwealth in different fields like youth and women empowerment, Human Rights, Peace Building, Good Governance (Democracy & Accountability) and Sustainable Development (Environment, SMEs) among others.
